In Paimpont, the former outbuildings of the abbey house La Porte des Secrets, a 55-minute scenic tour devoted to the forest of Brocéliande, its mysteries, its fauna, its flora and its ironworkers. A visit to this museum, which is adjacent to the Tourist Office, is a perfect introduction to your walk in the forest.

The signposted loops of the Brocéliande forest are an excellent way of getting to know this 7,000 hectare area without getting lost and in complete tranquillity. For example, you can follow the Merlin loop (purple markings over 4 kilometres) from the La Sangle car park, the Lancelot loop (blue and yellow markings over 8 kilometres) from the church in Beignon or the Hindrés loop (blue and white markings over 4 kilometres) from the Rocher Cadieu. On the edge of the Comper pond stands a 13th century castle where enthusiasts bring the world of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table to life. The menhirs of Monteneuf
The site of the menhirs of Monteneuf is located not far from the forest of Brocéliande, 15 kilometres south of Beignon. This group of megaliths dating from the end of the Mesolithic period (more than 6,500 years ago) is the subject of archaeological research which could help us understand their function and history. The Pays de Guer Tourist Office and the association Les Landes organise guided tours of this mysterious place, as well as fun activities on the theme of prehistory.
